Dearest Bertie,
I left my winter attic at the end of March … I shall stay here till autumn darkness drives me out in search of electric light.… Am also just back from Malmö and Lund where I lectured. I passed through Stockhom both ways and both times T.S. Eliot was there lecturing for the British Council: reading his poems and talking about Shakespeare....
